Classroom Organization
Setting up the expectations in a classroom is half the battle of managing a class. Training the students to go to their spot in the seating plan, and not touching and playing instruments as they walk in shows that they are ready to work together and are ready for the support. Be clear with what you expect, and why. The students should also have a part in making expectations, so the music room becomes a place for everyone.
