When teaching a class there are multiple variables that can distract students and the teacher from the support. For this reason, support planning is critical. Knowing what the goal of the support is, the steps that need to be taken, and choosing how to get there will excite and propel you and the students as they learn. Taking the time to plan and prepare the material and how to teach it will allow your focus to move onto something else-like adjusting to support students, or deal with any of these variables.
